Mentis 3000 is a high-capacity fully flexible Network Element platform for METRO applications. The generic and modular approach allows a Mentis 3000 NE to be configured to numerous configurations to fit any characteristics required. Four Mentis 3000 subracks can be mounted in a 2000mm/7ft high rack and be managed as on entity NE with 55 wavelenghts running at 2.5Gb/s and with embedded OXC functionality. All connections are accessible from the front, thereby allowing wall mounting or back-to back mounting. Each subrack has 16 generic slots for Transponders, MuxPonders, Optical Filters, etc...
