Each LS 10.xx Line Simulator simulates a homogeneous line. The Loop Box is used to link these Line Simulators to form the various test loops and additionally includes the required fixed length line segments. This modular concept makes it possible to use the same type of Line Simulator in the laboratory as a part of loop configurations as may be used in production for simpler tests during the production process. If not all of the test loops are required immediately, the system can be tailored to current demands and expanded later as required.

Several precision line simulators are connected together using a Loop Box to form a test loop simulator as per ITU-T G.991.2.
»
All line segments are simulated with variable and fixed segment lengths as per ITU-T G.991.2, so that all test loops can be simulated.
»
The Test Loop Simulator can be equipped with a noise generator for generating the noise signals as per ITU-T G.991.2.
»
The simulator can be controlled manually or via an RS 232 interface. Convenient operating software is available for controlling the instrument from a PC.
