Ethertel TM-78 is a miniature converter which enables connection of
two independent segments of 10BaseT or 100BaseTX Ethernet networks
viaSDHorPDHtelecommunication network.
Such devices can be used in data transmission applications or for
realization of Internet access.
Converter is able to provide the transmission in telecommunication
network either with n x 64 kbit/s framed bit rate (n = 1-31) or full 2.048 Mbit/s
signal. Ethertel is equipped in two port Ethernet switch in order to connect two
external segments of LAN network and has built in Ethernet bridge.
It can work both with 10 and 100 Mbit/s bit rate (autonegotiation) in
duplex or half duplex mode with the highest available bit rate. The converter
is able to transmit long, 1522 bits Ethernet frames to be used in virtual
networks according to IEEE 802.1Q recommendation or to set IEEE 802.1P
priorities. It can work both with 10 and 100 Mbit/s bit rate (autonegotiation) in duplex or half duplex mode with the highest

Device filters local traffic, transmitted inside the internal network to be connected to its Ethernet ports and
retransmits only the traffic addressed to remote network segments. The Ethertel switch can store up to 1024
MAC source addresses in its internal table.
The quality of transmission and services is managed according to G.826 standard.
LanWin application working with Windows 9X/200/NT operation system can be used to manage Ethertel.
