TR-43-3 and TR-43-7 fibre optic converters have been designed in order to enable connection of devices incorporating interfaces complying with RS-422 recommendation. Optical connections are made by means of twin fibre optic lines providing complete isolation between devices and resistance to disturbance occuring along transmission path. The range has been significantly increased in comparison with direct electrical connection. TR-43-3 and TR-43-7 converters have been provided with single fibre optic port and single electrical port. Two devices incorporating RS-422 interface can be connected by means of such converters. TR-43-3 and TR-43-7 converters can be combined with TR-43-1, -2, -5, -6 (RS-485) or with TR-21-7 converter (RS-232) enabling elastic approach in course of network designing, cables lenght optimisation and corresponding adaption of network topology in view of data safety. Fibre optic line is connected to the converters by means of fibre optic connectors ST or FC type. Any DC power supply pack providing corresponding power and voltage output within the range 12-35 V DC can be used as power source. Converter housing has been provided with a snap enabling quick fastening of the device at typical support rail (DIN EN 50 022).
