SHDSL modem type TM/MD-75 can be used for data transmission internet access, especially in big business centers. It provides a symmetric transmisson of 2048 kbit/s signal in ordinary subscriber loop at a distance of 4 km with the use on just one copper pair. A telecommunication operator can flexibly adapt n x 64 kbit/s band provided to clients to follow their changing needs. The device offers a tred-off between transmission range and transmission rate with an increment of 64 kbit/s. Digitalization of analogue lines by means of SHDSl technology makes it possible to use an existing network infrastructure and significantly decrease cost of system implementation. At the same time the client receives a secure and reliable data transmission line. TM-74 modem furnished with G.703 (704) interface should be connected to a telecommunication network (SDH, ATM) or to a device furnished with a similar interface. On the other end of SHDSL line TM/MD-74 modem with V.35 interface can be used to connect an IT network via a router The device is available in two versions: TM-75 stand-alone device and MD-75 card. MD-75 cards are designed for installation in TM-72 telecommunication shelf that can accept up to 16 cards (modems or other Lanex devices) and one management and monitoring module. This solution is recommended for installation in telephone exchanges or transmission centers while TM-75 stand-alone version is used mainly in client locations. Additionally TM/MD-75 can cooperate with TM/TM-74 modem or TM-49 multiplexer which can be used to match digital interfaces and transmission rates at bozh ends in a flexible and economic way. The device can signal failure conditions on interfaces. Both local and remote devices can be managed within transmission band (eg. TSO) or outside transmission band by means of VT-100 terminal or LanWin application working under Windows 9X/2000/NT.
