The miniature fiber optic modem in TM-76 desktop version and MD-76 card version for the multipurpose TM-72 rack is a device capable of longrange transmission of the E1 flux. The device enables you to connect business centers or customer groups via backbone network (ATM, SDH, PDH). A high power budget enables signal transmission between the devcies over a distance up to 85 km. The modems are applied in data transmission indirectly in video conferences and IP network connections. The modems perform synchronous, fully duplex transmission of a digital signal at the binary bit rate of 2.048 Mbit/s. They can operate with PCM-30 terminal equipped with the same interface. A single device or group of devices is managed outside the transmission band (a seperate independent transmission channel in a common transmission carrier is used) using the LAnWin application under Windows 9X/2000/NT. RS-232 interface or IP network is used for management. Additionally, the local device is managed via VT-100 terminal (RS-232)
