TR-21 fibr optic converter has been designed in order to enable connection of devices incorporating interfaces beeing compatible with RS-232C. Optical connection is made by means of twin fibre optic line providing complete isolation between devices and resistance to disturbance occuring along transmission path. The range has been significantly increased in comparison with direct electrical connection. TR-21 converter has been provided with single fibr optic port and single electric port. Two devices incorporating RS-232 interface can be connected by means two such converters and a fibre optic line. TR-43 (RS-485, 422) can be combined with TR-21-7 converters on the optical side. Fibre optic line is connected to te converters by means of fibre optic connectors ST or FC type. Any DC power supply pack providing corresponding power and voltage output within the range 12-35 V DC can be used as power source. Converter housing has been provided with a snap enabling quick fastening of the device at typical support rail (DIN EN 50 022).
