New Argus tester - Argus 260
Argus 260 shines with large touch screen and integrated copperbox
At the Broadband World Forum (BBWF) Intec presented the new Argus 260 in Amsterdam. The absolutely new hardware is larger than the previous models (30 cm), but can still be described as handy. Therefore the Copperbox is now integrated into the housing. And the new touch display is 800 x 480 pixels twice as large as the previous models.
Otherwise, the complete interface portfolio is available, except for SHDSL.bis and ISDN (also Uk0). The "legacy" interfaces S0 and S2M fall victim to the VoIP conversion. All the more surprising is the consistent integration of the analogue interface including monitoring. It has been retained due to the strong international orientation of the network equipment supplier Intec.
Unfortunately there are no prices available for the new Argus 260 yet. However, a significant jump in price compared to the still current 15x and 16x series can certainly be expected. These products are still up to date and will be maintained. The new Argus 260 has probably been positioned more as the third series for the upscale demand.
